During Boat Show Season... Do This, Not That

Will they think of you at boat show time?

Boat show season is right around the corner, and the companies that will make the biggest impression will be the ones that get in front of boaters before, during, and after the shows. Whether or not you are exhibiting at any given show, you will want to take advantage of the excitement all shows create in the boating community.

Instead of:

X Waiting until the show to introduce your brand

X Failing to secure ad space in the official show guide

X Relying on a single impression

X Lacking visibility after the show

X Having less exposure than your competitors

Try this:

Introduce your brand early and don't rely on a single impression. The best marketing campaigns aren't built on a single ad, so you'll want to begin building brand awareness early.  As excitement for the show grows, showcase your offerings across all relevant media channels and get seen by boaters gearing up for the show. By the time attendees pass through the show gates, your name is already familiar.

Be a part of the official show guide. Most shows offer a free, official show guide that can be found digitally online and in hard copy at the entry gate. Show-goers and exhibitor alike will use it to navigate the tents and docks during the event. Often, a digital edition is sent to ticket holders and past attendees before the gates even open.

After the show, stay squarely in front of the boating community. The buying doesn’t stop when the tents come down and the boats go home. As boaters follow up, compare products, contact exhibitors, and make purchasing decisions, make sure you are top of mind. You will want to keep your brand, message, and offerings front and center, so use all your marketing and advertising tools: print, email, social, and maybe even TV and radio.
